Overview
Seungmo Park (b. 1969) explores existence and illusion through meticulous wire-wrapping and aluminum mesh layering. Solo exhibitions include Kalamazoo Institute of Arts, Dennos Museum Center, Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum, Tang Contemporary Art (Hong Kong), and saasfee pavillon (Frankfurt). Group shows include Korean Eye at Saatchi Gallery (London) and Museum of Arts and Design (NY), Force of Nature (Brussels), and Taipei Fine Art Museum. He received the Public Award at ArtPrize (2015). Collections: MMCA, Busan Museum of Art, Yu-Hsiu Museum (Taiwan), Mustafa Taviloğlu Museum (Turkey), Gucci, Nike, and Amore Pacific Museum of Art.
